Community Purchase of Voit Farm

After 175 years of private ownership, on January 14 the 65-acre Voit Farm on Madison’s eastside was finally listed for sale. National developers are eagerly eyeing this unique parcel, which has been fully engulfed by suburbia. For over a year, a group of concerned citizens have been planning a strategy to purchase this farm cooperatively, and preserve it as a public asset in perpetuity. Our ranks have now grown to the hundreds and as of this writing, we have $475,000 in investment cooperative pledges as well as interest from Dane County and the City of Madison to help financially. Join our bi-weekly public meetings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 6pm on Zoom. Meeting details, our core values, proposed land uses, and much more can be found on our website: savethefarm.net
