Kat and the Hurricane began as the brainchild of Kat Farnsworth, resulting in the singer-songwriter’s “Miles Away” in 2017. Since their folky debut, and with the addition of Benjamin Rose and Alex Nelson, the Hurricane has developed into a genre and gender-bending indie rock experience. They released their sophomore album “Libra” in 2020, with heartfelt songs in a style they coined as “sad lesbian music”. With passion, poetry and relatability, Kat and the Hurricane’s music expresses more than just the somber parts of life. Their music is ever-evolving as life itself.
