Southern Wisconsin Dulcimer Club Festival Jam Night

Folk Jam night with Lorinda Jones, Dona Benkert (both mountain dulcimer players) and Pam Bowman (hammer dulcimer player). All string instruments are welcome to attend. We’ll play some tunes slowly to help the new learners and some at regular speed.
Lorinda helps to preserve the traditional music of Kentucky and southern Appalachia and created a book of tunes (Timeless Treasures) to be used with older adults. Dona teaches at Old Town School of Music in Chicago teaching varieties of music including Appalachian fiddle tunes, ragtime and music of Turlough O’Carolan. Pam resides in Michigan and is active in the Evart Michigan Festival as well as playing with guitarist Jeff Gardner and a 5 piece group called Just Jammin’ performing gospel/country/bluegrass music.
