“Reflections on the 75th Anniversary of the 1948 Founding of the State of Israel: the Evolution of Modern Political Zionism, the Expulsion or Subjugation of the Palestinians (the ‘Nakba’), and Ramifications Up to the Present Time”
This presentation will address the history of the Jews, the origins of modern political Zionism, the Zionist colonization of Palestine, the 1948 War and expulsion of most Palestinians (i.e the “Nakba”), what has happened since 1948, the role of the U.S, possible solutions to the conflict, and what concerned Americans can do today.
