MADISON (WORT) — On NBC’s “Meet the Press” this Sunday, GOP presidential candidate Gov. Scott Walker said building a wall along the U.S. border with Canada was a “legitimate issue.”
To get some insight on how our Canadian neighbors feel about a potential wall along the largest undefended international border in the world, Dylan Brogan spoke with New Democrat Member of Parliament John Rafferty.
In response to WORT’s request for comment, Walker campaign spokeswoman AshLee Strong issued this statement:
“Despite the attempts of some to put words in his mouth, Gov. Walker wasn’t advocating for a wall along our northern border. Chuck asked about it and Gov. Walker said based on what he’s hearing from people there are security concerns that need to be addressed.”
