In May, Congress appropriated nearly 3 trillion dollars to support the economy in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, including an extra $600 a week for the unemployed. Wisconsin added a 60 day moratorium on evictions. While the number of new Corona virus cases is now even greater, the extra $600 stopped last Friday and evictions are up 40% in Wisconsin.
