The non-profit organization Centro Hispano has been working to support the Latinx community of Dane County since the early 1980s, with programs ranging from academic support for students to workforce and development programs.
But it’s time for a new home, and although their groundbreaking had to be canceled today due to weather conditions, executive director Karen Menendez Coller spoke with WORT Producer Nate Wegehaupt about Centro Hispano’s new home.
You can find more information, and follow their project, on the Centro Hispano website.
