Working women had slowly been making progress before the pandemic hit. Then working mothers, women in the hospitality industry, women of color, and even women in senior management positions were forced to leave the job market in numbers disproportionate to men. According to Gallup Panel data, women workers are lagging behind their male counterparts when it comes to job recovery. Here in Wisconsin, the organization 9to5 has always prioritized the issues of working women.
