Three city council members have resigned within the last two months. Sara Eskrich became the third Madison city alder to resign this summer.
Eskrich has accepted an executive director position in Brookfield with the group Political Innovation, a nonpartisan organization that aims to make systemic changes at different levels of government.
Eskrich’s resignation comes after two others since the spring election: Alders Denise DeMarb and Mark Clear have both announced their resignations.
WORT producer Nina Kravinsky caught up with Council President Alder Samba Baldeh about the recent resignations.
