Steam Machine is a Midwest-based string band that doesn’t draw hard lines between bluegrass and old-time music. Originally formed in Minneapolis in 2017, the band is fronted by award winning, in-demand fiddler AJ Srubas and old-time music and dance instigator Rina Rossi, with the support of David Robinson on banjo. Steam Machine is equally at home playing for an oldtime and bluegrass loving crowd or listeners new to these sounds. The band aspires to keep Midwest-style old-time and bluegrass music alive and well wherever they go.
