A contract on the island of Puerto Rico is stirring up controversy.
Earlier this year, Hurricane Maria left the island completely without power. Now the efforts to rebuild the island’s electrical grid are underway.
However, a $300 million contract between Puerto Rico’s Electric Authority and a small company called Whitefish is raising a lot of questions and accusations of corruption.
Local journalist Ken Klippenstein filed a story with “The Daily Beast” on Wednesday, detailing connections between Whitefish and the Trump administration.
Producer Alejandro Alonso Galva spoke with Klippenstein earlier today.
