Next month, the Dane County Board will vote on a measure that will provide $100,000 dollars to support independent artists throughout the county. In March, museums, music venues and theaters closed throughout the country, and independent artists and musicians were among the first groups of workers displaced by COVID-19.
Earlier today, WORT Producer Jonah Chester spoke with Mark Fraire, Director of the Dane Arts Commission, to discuss how the grant will be dispersed and how COVID-19 has impacted Dane County’s art community.
The grant application can be found here.
