Radio Astronomy hosts Erika Carlson and Brianna Smart explain dark matter and the discovery of a galaxy with little or no dark matter. Dark matter has mass and can experience gravity but does not reflect light. Dark matter is extremely common in our universe, however it is invisible and cannot be seen with the naked eye or through a telescope. Dark matter makes up 5 times as much matter as the usual matter you think about in your everyday life. Recently a new galaxy, NGC 1052-DF2 or DF2 for short, is found to be the first galaxy to have little to no dark matter.
