Dave interviews QUEERY host Karolina about her volunteer work at WORT, her life and her views on life. They also discuss her love of being a WORT reporter, engineer and QUEERY host. Karolina joined QUEERY and WORT in 2020. She worked as a WORT reporter after seeing an add and integrated herself into the fast paced world of WORT’s 6:00pm local news program.
She also shared personal insights from her life as a transgendered person. They also talked about the importance of the LGBTQ+ community presenting a united front as they face pressures from those who want to see them marginalized. In that context, QUEERY is an excellent venue for bringing the LGBTQ+ needed recognition. From Karolina’s perspective, WORT is a safe place.
