On the August 3rd edition of A Public Affair, guest host Anjali Misra discusses “We Too Sing America” with author and racial justice advocate Deepa Iyer. The book reframes the discussion of race in America by looking at the unexplored consequence of modern-day terrorism.
Deepa Iyer is a South Asian American activist, writer, and lawyer. She is currently the Senior Fellow at the Center for Social Inclusion where she provides analysis, commentary and scholarship on equity and solidarity in America’s changing racial landscape. “We Too Sing America: South Asian, Arab, Muslim and Sikh Immigrants Shape Our Multiracial Future” is her first book.
