In August, Louisiana experienced what officials are calling the worst natural disaster in the U.S. since Hurricane Sandy. East Baton Rouge took on over 20 inches of rain in 48 hours. More than sixty thousand homes were destroyed.
So, when the 100 Black Men of Madison, Inc. needed to find a way to send donated school supplies to flood victims in Louisiana, they came up with a brilliant idea: have the Badger football team give it to LSU during their upcoming game. The supplies will travel with the Tigers 1,100 miles from Lambeau Field to kids who need it in Baton Rouge.
Producer Alejandro Alonso Galva has the story.
