A new investigation by the Wisconsin Examiner has found that dozens of police departments across the state have largely the same use-of-force policies as the Brooklyn Center, Minnesota Police Department.
The Minneapolis suburb drew national attention earlier this month when a Brooklyn Center police officer shot and killed 20-year-old Daunte Wright.
Behind all of the policies is a single company — Lexipol, which provides boilerplate use-of-force policies to law enforcement agencies across the country.
