The Drunken Catfish Ramblers will make a live appearance on Global Revolutions this Monday morning at 11:00 am, which will be broadcast on 89.9 FM/HD and streamed worldwide on wortfm.org.
This New Orleans street band plays authentic old-time music and headlined the Saturday night lineup at Sugar Maple Fest this year. They’re playing the High Noon Saloon on Monday night at 8 pm, along with Jack Klatt of Minneapolis and Madison’s Boo Bradley.
There are six people in the band, with the following instrumentation:
1 tuba [euphonium] which serves as the bass instrument
1 washboard, which is the only percussion
2 acoustic guitar players, who also handle most of the vocals
1 mandolin banjo player and
1 fiddler — these two string players switch off on their instruments
Tune in Monday morning, share this with your friends and listen to the radio performance on our archives through September 1st. More information and some links to the band’s music can be found below.
