Tomorrow, August 14, is a statewide partisan primary election in Wisconsin. What do you need to know before heading to the polls? Find out on today’s show!
Our guests are Eileen Newcomer, voter education coordinator of the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin, and Brook Soltvedt, board president of the League of Women Voters of Dane County. They discuss the LWV’s work in voter outreach and give detailed information about what to expect at the polls tomorrow, including the difference between voter registration and voter ID (along with acceptable forms of both identification and proof of residence), transportation options to your voting location, your right to request time off from work to vote, and a list of phone numbers to call if you need help with paperwork, transportation, or other voter-related issues. As Patty says at the end of the show, go vote and get that sticker!
