On Tuesday October 1st we talked about domestic abuse and how groups like the Domestic Abuse Intervention Service are being put into action. Our host Carousel Bayrd talked with Shannon Barry, the executive director of DAIS, about what they’re doing to help domestic abuse victim and survivors.
Bayrd and Barry had an in-depth conversation about domestic violence in Dane County and how victims of domestic violence can get help. DAIS helps those who are victims and survivors of domestic violence. Their overall mission is “to empower those affected by domestic violence and advocate for social change through support, education and outreach. Our vision is a nonviolent community that actively promotes safety, peace, justice and hope.”-abuseintervention.org
