While the various trajectories of the culture wars all seem to be headed toward a more LGBTQ-friendly destination, there are still great strides to be made when it comes to public policy and the private sector. For those who identify as transgendered, gender nonconforming, or genderqueer, it can be a great challenge to obtain access to certain healthcare services through their insurance providers. Haukeness and Anders Zanichkowsky, are working in conjunction with the Wisconsin Trans Health Coalition to help make access to healthcare coverage more equitable in Dane County. They stopped by to share their perspectives on this issue, as well as some solutions they think might be able to turn the tide.
