(WORT) –The Madison Public Market is a proposed development on the east side of the isthmus. The city describes the project as “a place with a mix of food retail, wholesaling, and processing, arts/craft vending, community uses, and events in a culturally diverse and dynamic public space.”
Planning recently moved forward with the 2016 city budget, and the concept recently became part of the discussion surrounding the pending closure of the Oscar Mayer plant. Capital Times reporter Bryna Godar joins Kristian Knutsen and Liz DiNovella to explain the proposed Madison Public Market.
