Continuing our coverage on the current situation in Venezuela, today’s show features anti-war activist Gloria La Riva, who is in the midst of a national speaking tour about her time on the ground in Venezuela. She sheds light on the present-day political and economic landscape in Venezuela, highlights local organizing efforts, and offers a critique of the United States’ response.
Gloria La Riva is a member of the Party for Socialism and Liberation and the Peace and Freedom Party. She recently returned from a month-long fact-finding mission throughout Venezuela and is currently on a cross-country speaking tour, Eyewitness Venezuela, to report what she saw.
Gloria La Riva is coming to Madison on Tuesday, April 9 for an Eyewitness Venezuela talk at the First Unitarian Society’s Landmark Auditorium (900 University Bay Drive). The event starts at 7:00 PM.
