February’s 89.9 Social Club PopUp Party is at The Malt House, 2609 East Washington Avenue (E Wash at Milwaukee St.), on Wednesday February 19, 6:30-8:30pm.

Don’t Spook the Horse is an acoustic trio made up of Kevin Youngs of The Kissers on mandolin, Kevin Tipple of Caravan on bass, and Dave Heuring of The Resistance on guitar and vocals.
The set list ranges from coal mining songs and murder ballads to wistful folk and doomy gospel.
The Malt House offers a beautiful antique civil-war era bar (Madison’s oldest), ample bicycle parking in front and auto parking in the rear off Milwaukee Street. Great conversation over a properly poured beer or dram …and a TV-free experience .
The Malt House doesn’t serve food, however patrons ARE ENCOURAGED to carry-in food from their home or favorite restaurant.

Come early, and bring a bite to eat (optional) and visit with fellow WORTistas and curious listeners. Stick around and enjoy some some great music. The Malt House is on several bus routes with bus stops just outside the door. Bike racks available.
The 89.9 Social Club creates opportunities for WORT volunteers to meet & visit with one another and get to know folks that share a common experience.
The Club PopUp parties also create an opportunity for curious listeners & members of the community to meet WORT volunteers and get a better sense of what WORT is all about.
Please, join us.
