By the time she was 20 years old, Fran Lebowitz had already gotten herself expelled from high school, had escaped her hometown of Morristown, New Jersey, and, after a brief stint in Poughkeepsie, New York, ran away to the bright lights of New York City. There she worked all manner of odd jobs – including a writer of pornography – just to stay in the Big Apple. Her writing career took off in 1971, when Andy Warhol hired her as a writer for his new magazine “Interview.” After two successful books, “Metropolitan Life” and “Social Studies,” Fran Lebowitz now tours the country as a professional pundit. She’ll be at the Madison Overture Center on November 8th. Fran Lebowitz joined Monday Buzz host Brian Standing on November 7, 2022.
