Noted author and politician and U.S. Congressional representative from Illinois, Paul Findley died on August 9th. He was a strong advocate of the War Powers Act of 1973 and a moderate Republican who spoke out against regimes which suppressed the rights of others, such as the apartheid movement of South Africa and Israeli domination of Palestine.
