It’s This Weekend’s Action Calendar!
Tomorrow is a free event to celebrate James Madison and the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812. Rolf Lindgren will present, along with Bob Reuschlein, followed by five minute commentaries by anyone present. Free refreshments. Sunday, all are invited to receive charity shiatsu or chair massage. There is a cost and funds raised go to help support the hundreds of Japanese people left homeless after the earthquake and tsunami three years ago. There will be activity areas to make cards and homemade dolls for Japanese families. This is at the Madison Tao Sangha Center, 2330 Willard Street from 1:30 to 5:30pm. The Wheelchair Recycling Program offers low cost, refurbished mobility and medical equipment to people that may not have the resources to obtain them new. They have wheelchairs, walkers, bath items, and other assistive equipment for purchase. There are offices in Madison and the Greater-Milwaukee area. Visit wrp.org or call 608-243-1785 for details.
