Tomorrow is “Madison’s Growing Latino Immigrant Community,” part of the Sustainable Saturday Night Series! It’s a potluck followed by a panel discussion, with updates on immigrant rights movement issues, including the Deferred Action programs to reduce deportations, how these issues affect Madison and Dane County residents, and how you can offer support and solidarity to local immigrant families. Sunday, join author-activist, Rivera Sun for a discussion about her recent book and a nonviolence training. She is the social media director for Campaign Nonviolence and Pace e Bene, and the author of three social protest novels.
