No, we’re not covering a new production of Hamlet; rather, we are treated this morning to a visit with a couple of Wisconsin filmmakers just prior to the release of their new low-budget indie horror film, The Headmistress.
Join Thursday 8 O’Clock Buzz host Tony Castañeda and producer Eli Wilz as they learn about the genesis of this Wisconsin-based movie set in a haunted convent. Written and produced by Chris Micklos, Jay Sapiro and Glenn Chung of Three Tortured Minds, the film takes place entirely in an old nunnery located in Oconomowoc and from all accounts, promises to provide lovers of horror with an onslaught of scream-worthy action and blood-curdling chaos.
The Headmistress, which won Best Screenplay and the Audience Awards Best Feature Film from the 2022 Milwaukee Twisted Dreams Festival, was picked up by Marcus Theaters and will be opening at their Sun Prairie and Big Sky locations on 4/7.
