To ring in 2022, Wednesday host Carousel Bayrd brings us her annual happy show, where she looks back on the year behind us and highlights positive news from the community—and yes, there were some good things to come out of 2021.
Today, she talks about local refugee resettlement with Becca Schwartz from Jewish Social Services, the launch of UW’s new Eviction Defense Clinic with Erica K. López, legislation to increase transparency and accountability around processing sexual assault kits with Wisconsin state senator Melissa Agard, the difficult and amazing work of election officials with Dane County Clerk Scott McDonell, and teaching with joy and love during the pandemic with Vera Naputi from East High School.
