Jonathan Zarov speaks with Heather Swan, beekeeper and author of the new book Where Honeybees Thrive: Stories from the Field. It’s a book of creative nonfiction about honeybees, combining the work of artists, scientists, and entomologists.
Heather Swan is a lecturer at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she teaches environmental literature and writing. She is also a beekeeper, and she lets her bees keep most of their honey.
There will be a book launch event for Where Honeybees Thrive at A Room of One’s Own tonight at 6pm.
