First on today’s show, Friday host Esty Dinur talks with journalist Ioan Grillo about his new book, Blood Gun Money: How America Arms Gangs and Cartels, investigating the enormous black market for firearms.
Then, Gabriel and John Shipton, the brother and father of Julian Assange, join for a brief segment to discuss Home Run For Julian, their coast-to-coast tour of the United States and campaign calling on the U.S. government to drop its prosecution and finally let Julian come home.
Ioan Grillo is a journalist who has been based in Mexico for twenty years working for media outlets including the New York Times, Time Magazine, National Geographic, and many others.
