The Dow Jones Industrial Average sank over 2,000 points yesterday amid concerns about the spread of novel coronavirus, or COVID-19. Another drop-off today would have ended an 11-year-long bull market, but it recovered, at least in part.
And while we don’t know much about COVID-19, we do know the outbreak will have some lasting impact on the U.S. and global economies.
WORT producer Shaun Soman spoke with Ian Coxhead, an economist with UW-Madison, about these impacts earlier today.
