For her first show back in the studio since last March, Monday host Patty Peltekos spends the hour with Diane Wilson, author of The Seed Keeper and director of the Native American Food Sovereignty Alliance.
They have a wide-ranging conversation about Indigenous seeds, decolonizing our diets and food systems, preserving Native knowledge, and more.
Diane Wilson is a Dakota writer, speaker, and editor. Her books include the memoir Spirit Car: Journey to a Dakota Past (Borealis Books, 2006) and her new novel, The Seed Keeper (Milkweed Editions, 2021). She is the executive director for the Native American Food Sovereignty Alliance, a national coalition of tribes and organizations working to create sovereign food systems for Native people.
