(WORT) — Thursday night, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee played host to the latest Democratic presidential debate between former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders.
A sizable crowd of supporters braved the frigid temperatures to welcome the candidates to Wisconsin. Demonstrators from the Fight for 15 movement also rallied outside the debate hall to demand the minimum wage be increased to $15 an hour.
Much of the debate, moderated by Gwen Ifill and Judy Woodruff from PBS Newshour, centered around addressing racial disparities and income inequality.
WORT’s Dylan Brogan was there for the historic debate and filed this report.
