After the tragic suicide of a U-W Madison graduate student in 2019, Wisconsin State Journal reporter Kelly Meyerhofer began to look more closely at the incident.
She found that faculty abusing their students, or academic bullying, was more prevalent at the university than anyone had realized.
Last week, Meyerhofer published her series on the issue in the Wisconsin State Journal, and earlier today, she spoke with WORT Producer Nate Wegehaupt about the series, and what she had found.
