As of 2020, more than half of Wisconsin’s county jails had no formal, codified policies for jail-based voting.
That’s according to a new report issued earlier this week by the Wisconsin League of Women Voters, All Voting is Local and the Wisconsin ACLU. The report examines the numerous barriers Wisconsin’s incarcerated folks face when casting their ballots from jail.
