Soon, Wisconsin will be closing the Lincoln Hills juvenile detention center and dispersing residents to the counties, which means that the Dane County Board needs to create a means to receive the children into our community. Next week, a panel presented by the Madison organization MOSES (Madison Organizing in Strength, Equality, and Solidarity) will discuss how best to do that. The event will be held at the First United Methodist Church, from 6-8 pm on Thursday, May 31st. There will be a panel discussion between three community leaders: Judge Everett Mitchell, Ali Muldrow, and Sharlene Moore.
Joining Friday Buzz host Jonathan Zarov by phone to talk about juvenile justice is one of those panelists, Dane County Circuit Court Judge Everett Mitchell.
