On December 7, subzero temperatures caused no less than six water main breaks in Madison. The total number of breaks last year was 306, the highest total in 33 years. Remarkably, crews managed to get all fixed in short order. Madison Water Utility Public Information Officer Amy Barrileaux joined the Monday Buzz to talk about the city maintenance crews and other who keep the water flowing through your pipes, and hopefully not down the middle of the street.
