The official Dane County Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Observance—in-person for the first time since 2020—will be carried live by WORT on Monday, January 16 at 6:00 p.m. For those attending the celebration and observance at the Overture Center downtown there will also be other activities leading up to the 6:00 program. On this edition of the Friday 8 O’Clock Buzz, Martin Luther King, Jr. Coalition of Madison & Dane County co-chair Ed Lee joins host Andy Moore to discuss what they have planned for the event, including a very special guest speaker.
Ed Lee is the co-Chair of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Coalition of Madison & Dane County. He has worked for over two decades for social justice and systemic change in Dane County, including 17 years of service with the Urban League.
