It’s today’s Action Calendar!
Free one-on-one coaching sessions for writing projects of any kind are available today from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Lakeview Library, 2845 North Sherman Avenue. Writing projects can include resumes and cover letters, school assignments, personal letters, applications, forms, or any other kind of writing. Basic computer help, such as setting up email accounts or searching for jobs online, is also available. Call 246-4547 in advance to sign up for a one-hour session.
The Madison Senior Center has teamed up with the Rape Crisis Center to offer a free workshop for women about protecting themselves in a variety of situations. The workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, April 17th from 10 a.m. to noon at the Senior Center, 330 West Mifflin Street. Whether it’s a doctor with a specialized degree or a guy with a lead pipe, we may sometimes encounter people who use a variety of techniques to pressure or coerce us into following their instructions. This workshop focuses on developing techniques to resist these pressures. Phone 266-6581 today to pre-register.
Calling all WORT listeners, volunteers, friends, family and the curious!
