This is the Insurgent Radio Kiosk for Thursday, April 19th
It’s today’s Action Calendar!
The public is invited to a free talk by Dr. Chip Colwell on his new book titled, “Plundered Skulls and Stolen Spirits: Inside the Fight to Reclaim Native America’s Culture”, today at 4 p.m. at the UW’s Sewell Social Sciences Building, 1180 Observatory Drive. Senior Curator in Anthropology at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, Dr. Colwell will offer insight to a personal journey that illuminates how repatriation has transformed both American museums and Native communities. This story reveals why repatriation law has become an imperfect but necessary tool to resolve the collision of world views between scientists and Native Americans. For information, phone 262-2868.
