With the state legislature preparing for the 2017-19 State Budget, Democratic lawmakers will host a Budget Listening Session from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 22,at the Dodgeville City Hall, 100-198 East Fountain Street. Join Madison-area African American writers – poet Fabu, novelist Sherry Lucille, and playwright and novelist Catrina Sparkman – as they discuss their poetry and prose on Saturday, April 22nd from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Goodman Library, 2222 South Park Street. Their discussion will focus on the relationship of their work to three African American literary giants who lived and worked in the Madison area during the 20th century.
