A free personal archiving lab tutorial will be offered today from 3 to 7 p.m. at Madison’s Central Library, 201 West Mifflin Street. The Personal Archiving Lab offers a collection of equipment that can be used to digitize at-risk analog materials such as home movies, video tapes, audio cassettes or photographs. A public meeting to discuss the lighting scheduled to be installed along the Demetral Path this fall will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. this evening at the Bashford United Methodist Church, 329 North Street. The meeting will present the limits and details of the proposed lighting scheme. For information, contact City of Madison Traffic Engineering at 266-4761.
All are invited to the free, family-friendly Black Latino Unity Picnic on Sunday, August 25th, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Penn Park, 2101 Fischer Street. The event is focused on calling attention to the common struggle of Black and Latino workers for better working, housing, employment and living conditions in our neighborhoods.
