The UW chapter of “Girls Who Code” will be offering a free 9-week programming course for middle and high school age girls beginning on Wednesday, December 6th. The sessions will run from 4:15 to 5:30 p.m. at the Sequoya Library, 4340 Tokay Boulevard. The mission of “Girls Who Code” is to build the largest pipeline of future female engineers in the United States. Pre-registration is required. Call 266-6385 for more information.
Decluttering your home? The Literacy Network is collecting used books to re-sell to raise funds to support its classes and tutors and provide textbooks for free adult literacy programs. Books can be dropped off at the Literacy Network office, 701 Dane Street, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Wednesdays. Contact 244-3911 for information.
