It’s This Weekend’s Action Calendar!
Join three Madison-area African American writers – poet Fabu, novelist Sherry Lucille, and playwright and novelist Catrina Sparkman – as they discuss their poetry and prose tonight from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Alicia Ashman Library, 733 North High Point Road. Experience poetry, prose, and drama that will shed light on what it means to be African American in Wisconsin yesterday, today and tomorrow. For information, phone 824-1780.
The Madison Winter Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 3rd, at Elver Park, 1250 McKenna Boulevard. It’s a free community festival celebrating and promoting outdoor sports, recreation, art and healthy lifestyles in the winter. The festival features cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snow sculpting, sledding, running, skijoring and other family oriented events. Phone 267-1162 for information.

The Insurgent Radio Kiosk is a four minute pre-recorded segment featuring a commentary and a calendar of daily events. Events must be low cost or non-profit and of interest to people in and around the WORT listening area and where other media might not highlight.
