The Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Choir will perform at 5 p.m., followed by Keynote Speaker Cheryl Brown-Henderson. Ms. Brown-Henderson is one of the three daughters of Reverend Oliver Brown, who filed suit against the local Board of Education in what became the landmark Brown vs. Board of Education case. The Madison Public Library and the Alzheimers’s And Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin are partnering to present a free memory enhancement program for those experiencing memory loss, mild cognitive impairment, early Alzheimer’s or other dementia. The program will help maximize cognitive functions. The first program session will kick-off from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, January 22nd at the Madison Central Library, 201 West Mifflin Street. Join a protest against the Enbridge pipeline at noon on Tuesday, January 22nd in the State Capitol Rotunda. Canadian-based Enbridge, which caused the worst inland oil spill in U.S. history, is asking the State Supreme Court to prohibit Dane County from requiring clean-up insurance.
