Triathlons really can be for anyone, no matter your age or shape. Learn about what’s required at a workshop from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30th at the Alicia Ashman Library, 733 North High Point Road. Join experienced triathlete Philip Wisely to learn about training/fitness, distance variations, equipment, local resources, monetary and time factors. Pre-registration is required. The West Madison Senior Coalition will offer a free lunch for those 60 and over at noon on Tuesday, May 30th, at the Meadowridge Library, 5726 Raymond Road. The suggested minimum donation is $4.00, but not required. Transportation is available with an additional $1.00 donation. Meal and bus reservations should be made today by calling 238-0196.
Mighty volunteers are needed to answer phones during W-O-R-T’s Summer Pledge Drive from June 7th through the 14th. One, two and three hour shifts, daytime and evenings, are available.
