Learn how to communicate with a person experiencing the late stage of dementia at a free workshop this evening from 5:30 to 7 p.m at the Middleton Public Library, 7425 Hubbard Avenue. The Pinney Library, 204 Cottage Grove Road, will host a community coffee open to all on Tuesday, November 13th, from 10 to 11 a.m. It’s a great way for everyone in the neighborhood to get to know one another. Phone 224-7100 for information.
Decluttering your home? The Literacy Network is collecting used books to re-sell to raise funds to support its classes and tutors and provide textbooks for free adult programs that help raise literacy. Donated books can be dropped off at the Literacy Network office, 701 Dane Street, preferably between 9 a.m and 1 p.m. on Wednesdays. Phone 244-3911 for guidelines on the type of materials that can be accepted.
