It’s This Weekend’s Action Calendar!
A free public screening of the Sundance 2018 Audience Award winning film, “This is Home: A Refugee Story”, is scheduled for Sunday, December 2nd at 1:30 p.m. at the Fitchburg Library, 5530 Lacy Road. The film captures the experience of four Syrian refugee families as they adjust to new lives in Baltimore. The screening is hosted by Jewish Congregations for Social justice and Jewish Social Services. A discussion on local refugee experiences will follow the film. The Urban League of Greater Madison is seeeking volunteers to support middle school youth through tutoring and academic coaching in math and literacy. If you can contribute one hour per week, openings are available at various times to fit your schedule. The Insurgent Radio Kiosk is a four minute pre-recorded segment featuring a commentary and calendar of daily events.
